Newton resident Bob O’Guin has turned Common Ground in Allston from a college sports bar into a gastropub since taking it over just over a year ago.

He’s made other changes besides completely revamping the menu. Brunch is now served 7 days a week! Brunch Monday through Friday is now from 11am-2pm!
Sat and Sun 10am-2pm. The weekend brunch both feature All-You-Can-Eat with lots of house specialties. For $5,99 on Saturday, you can get Scrambled eggs, Homefries, Turkey Bacon, and Toast.
On Sundays, $9.99 includes Scrambled eggs, Home fries, Turkey Bacon, Toast, house made Sausage, Roast Beef, Corned-beef Hash, Caesar Salad, Fresh Muffins of the day, Granola and Yogurt of the day, Brownies, Fresh Fruit, and Crisp of the Day.
One of his most popular Brunch offerings is the French Toast and oh what a French Toast it is! Raisin brioche French toast w/Caramelized banana and Kahlua sauce, $8
With holidays coming up, why not consider Common Ground for holiday work parties or when you need to reserve a room for large groups. A heated patio is also coming soon. His holiday hours are: Thanksgiving Night Open at 6pm and Christmas Eve and Christmas Night open starting at 7pm.
If you are a beer aficionado, try his beer sample – 4 beer samples of 3 ounces; get full pint of what you like, $10.
