About
My husband and I moved to Newton more than 10 years ago when we were fresh from the city but ready to embrace suburban life with a preschooler and toddler. Neighbors and friends were kind to share information and resources to help us get settled in, and now it’s our turn to welcome you into our community. We now have three kids and have been navigating preschool, elementary school, middle school and now high school
We will be posting resources of what we WISHED we had when we moved in. Things like A Comprehensive List of Preschools, Mommy and Me Music Classes, the Best Karate Studios for Kids and more. To get all updates, please subscribe via email. We will never share your email address because that’s pure evil! Thanks for visiting our blog and we hope to meet you in person soon! Maybe you will be our new neighbor! Here’s hoping!
Hey –
I found your blog because my husband and son, Murray & Elliot Sackman were tagged – probably in your sports section as they were in the Newton Babe Ruth team –
Wanted to let you know that I have a photograpy website www,photobymmk.com – I do portrait photography – mostly on location – in the Newton area.
Good luck selling your house –
Best –

To Nancy,
Thank you for coming by. I just added your blog to the blogroll.
Hi Pragmatic Mom! I found your site when searching for ‘Rocks and Minerals’ info for homeschooling. My daughter and I were on BrainPop Jr. studing ‘Rocks and Minerals’ as a follow-up to the topic, ‘Soil’. I’m trying to reach outside the box instead of just teaching about the same ole, same ole ‘Parts of a Plant’ lesson this time of year. 🙂 I love (and that’s a…LOVE!!!) your “Rocks and Minerals Science Study Guide for 4th Grade”. FYI…A little over a year ago, I formed a child advocacy, non-profit called Children’s Hope and Voice. I’ve been putting together a website where I highlight my favorite Internet finds. I’d like to add your topic. Later today, I’ll be adding it under our “Education / Science” page and list the link to your page. I look forward to visiting your other infomation on your site. Great job! And, I love your humor! Here’s the address to the homepage:

Keep up the great work!
