Winter Soccer Training for Kids
If your kids want to train during the winter, it can be challenging to find them indoor soccer options. Here’s what I’ve found in the Newton area.

Soccer on the Mat

Soccer on the Mat is a unique and innovative soccer and yoga program designed to empower young girls (ages 11-15) while improving their soccer fitness and technique and decreasing soccer specific injuries. The curriculum created by Coach Alison Foley focuses on building and celebrating the physical and emotional growth through a variety of drills, poses and conversation. Each class will strengthen both the body and mind of the soccer athlete while also providing opportunities to build confidence and body awareness through teamwork and mindfulness focused activities

Coach Foley supervises and trains each Soccer on the Mat teacher who is uniquely skilled in both yoga and soccer instruction.

Brazilian Fast Footwork Soccer Training

Brazilian Fast Footwork is a class developed by Boston College Women’s Soccer Head Coach, Alison Foley. This unique fast footwork class for girls ages 11-15 focuses on increasing physical foot speed by utilizing the ladder and resistance bands to make you quicker and more explosive. It’s a high intensity class that pushes your mastery on the ball.

We have a combination of fast footwork soccer drills that are guaranteed to make you more confident on the ball, improve your first touch and master your dribbling 1 v 1 moves. We combine the use of a size 5 ball and the mini-Brazilian ball for the ultimate technical challenge!

Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston will present the beloved musical extravaganza ChristmasTime from December 4-13, 2015 at the Robinson Theatre (617 Lexington St. Waltham, MA, 02452). has been delighting children and adults for 33 years with Yuletide magic from the inspirational Living Nativity to the delightful Teddy Bears’ Nutcracker.

Audiences are transported by the Victorian Christmas, Parade of the Wooden Soldiers and spectacular precision dancers. A regional cast of 200 is gift wrapped in fabulous Christmas sets and costumes – all backed by a full, professional orchestra.

Rich DiMare Holiday Gala: Friday, Dec 4 @ The Royal Sonesta Hotel

Dear Friends,

I have been hard at work since August planning a charity gala to benefit The Seacrest Studio at Boston Children’s Hospital. The Royal Sonesta has helped us stay on budget by providing the ballroom and food at cost. Many vendors have generously donated goods including Cakes by Erin, who will provide custom cupcakes and Kitchens Seafood, who is donating the raw bar.

I will be singing with a 3-piece band from 7pm–9pm then DJing the remainder of the evening. In addition to a silent auction, I will auction off a pair of tickets to the sold out 2015 Jingle Ball including a meet and greet with performing artists.

Where I need your help is by purchasing or raising awareness of the event to sell tickets. Pinnacle Financial is the title sponsor paying for 100 people to attend, which is great because there’s a built in audience. My goal is to sell an additional 120 tickets and I believe this can be done with your help!

Close Call Casting Call

Hi there,

My name is Shannon Walsh and I work with a company called Strickman-Ripps Casting. We are a NYC based casting company that specializes in finding real people for television, internet and non-fiction media projects. You can learn more about us at www.strickman-ripps.com.

We are currently working on an important campaign for a major company. It is designed to inform the public about the dangers of accidental injuries, involving children.

The project will feature real people who have experienced a “close call” where a child was involved in an accidental injury in or around the home. Perhaps the close call resulted in an injury from which the child recovered, a survival story where maybe the parents were moved into action to prevent it from happening again. Have you or a friend of yours experienced a “close call” with a child from an accidental home injury relating to Fire, Drowning, Poisoning, or Furnitrue/TV Tip-Overs? Would you or they be willing to share that story on behalf of awareness and preventing a similar or worse situation from happening to another family?

Those who are featured in the final project will be able to share their stories on a national level with the hope that their experience and insight might help to prevent similar situations. They would be fully compensated for their participation in ths project as well.
