    Regattabar Kids’ Summer Music Series 

    The Regattabar’s Kids’ Summer Music Series returns to The Charles Hotel in Harvard Square starting on Sunday, July 13! Musicians that specialize in delighting kids with different styles of music perform everything from bilingual songs to magical folk tunes, and even dino-soaring!

    Kids and parents alike can enjoy this popular series with Elizabeth Mitchell, Alastair Moock, Tim Kubart (of Tim and the Space Cadets), The Okee Dokee Brothers, Matt Heaton: Toddlerbilly Troubador, and Gustafer Yellowgold.

    All shows begin at 4:30 p.m. in The Regattabar. Doors open 30 minutes prior to show time. Tickets are $12 (children one year and under enter for free) and can be purchased online at RegattabarJazz.com, or by calling 617-395-7757.

    After the show, families can top off the night by enjoying a home-style dinner at Henrietta’s Table, which offers kid-friendly meals. Kids receive a free chocolate-themed dessert with ticket stub.

    Presented by Citizens Bank, this free festival brings the arts to all of Boston through events and performances tailored to audience members of all ages.

    Boston Summer Arts Weekend 2014

    Boston Summer Arts Weekend is the perfect outdoor event for families. Highlights from this year’s family events include:

    Local favorite and PBS Kids star, SteveSongs, who will kick off the main stage events at 11 am.

    Children’s entertainer Debbie Cavalier, of Debbie and Friends, will engage the audience through her traditional story-telling through original song.

    World-renowned comedy jugglers the Gizmo Guys, who will certainly wow the crowd with their humor and technique.

    Various dance and music performances on the Fountain Stage from groups such as Zumix, Harney Academy of Irish Dance and hip-hop dance group Lil’ Phunk.

    Shake Shack Gets Sporty in Chestnut Hill This Season

    WHAT:                 

    Shake Shack’s Chestnut Hill location at The Street is flexing its muscles this summer. The Shack will be rolling out two events that bring a little competition and athleticism (and of course, celebratory burgers) to its local fans in need of a new way to enjoy the summer sun this season.

     

    SHAKE SHACK DASH & DINE

    Whether you need to amp up your habitual cardio routine or spice up your date night, Shake Shack’s new Dash & Dine event series has the answer. Shake Shack is partnering with their neighbor at The Street, Sports Club/LA, to feature a group fitness class out on The Green in front of the Shack followed by a rewarding Shake Shack meal (plus Shack wristbands and Shack|2O water)  – calories out, calories in – right? It’s all about a balanced lifestyle. So pull on your sneakers, work up an appetite, and get shakin’!

    Burgers? Check. Paddle? Check. Game face? Check. If you’re a Shack fan and table tennis aficionado, then this event is for you. Shake Shack will host a table tennis tournament on The Green in front of the Shack with slots for 16 participants who are hungry for victory and a celebratory burger. Players will battle it out on The Street’s custom made ping-pong table, distinct for its bold concrete base and branded blue metal net. Winning prizes include $15-$50 Shake Shack gift cards, a custom “golden paddle” trophy for 1st place, and plenty of Shack swag. All 16 players will receive a special edition Shake Shack Table Tennis League (SSTTL) t-shirt, and all players and spectators will get hooked up with Shack shades and retro wristbands while supplies last. For extra game time fuel, Shake Shack will offer a free order of cheese fries with any purchase of food throughout the day. Game on!
