Incredible Writing Tutor & Guitar Teacher Available!
Posting for my daughter’s boyfriend. He’s an incredible writer and can help with college application essays or tutor in English essay writing. He also gives guitar lessons.

Hi! My name is Ben, and I am a Brown University alumni. I graduated with a 4.0 GPA with a double major in English and Music. While at Brown, I won two first-place Preston Gurney prizes— Cultural Criticism and Literary Criticism—awarded to the best undergraduate senior essays in each subject.
I was also the Editorial Director at WBRU, an editor at the Brown Political Review, and TA’d music production courses. I attended The Lawrenceville School (top 10 high schools nationwide) where I won the fifth form English Prize, received the Emerson Prize for a published paper in the Concord Review, and scored 1590 on my SAT. I currently work part-time at a documentary studio as a Writing Assistant for two Emmy-nominated directors.
I mentor students on private/boarding, undergraduate, and graduate school application essays. I can also tutor students in essay writing and research in English, history, political science, poetry, and film.
In my free time, I play in two indie-rock bands, Bogus Rex and The Rug (on Spotify and Apple Music), performing around the New York area. I have experience teaching beginner/intermediate guitar, songwriting, and music production for small groups and individuals.
I am available both on Zoom and can travel around the Williamsburg/NYC area.
Please reach out if you’re interested – my email is benjamin_cunningham@alumni.brown.edu
Thank you!

Russo’s to Close this Fall
To Our Devoted and Loyal Customers,
After more than 70 years working for the family business, Tony Russo is retiring.
Our business will close this fall.
It has been Tony’s privilege to serve our many wholesale and retail customers for seven decades.
Our business began as a small farm in Watertown more than 100 years ago. Every day at Russo’s – while surrounded by fresh produce – Tony is reminded of working alongside his grandparents on the farm and later, of working alongside his father and uncle at their wholesale warehouse. Their work ethic became his inspiration. Throughout the years, Tony has worked in all areas of the retail and wholesale business including trimming vegetables, driving trucks, loading and unloading trailers, putting up wholesale orders, sweeping the floor, buying produce, and overseeing the most subtle details of the retail store. At any time, customers can find him involved in the displays of the fruits, vegetables, flowers, bakery, deli, cheese, and garden departments. His days begin around 3:30 AM and end after 8 PM.
Tony has treasured watching generations of families shopping together as they choose their first spring vegetable plants or the first local apples of the season, and as they shop for Christmas trees (with classical music playing in the background, of course).
Tony deeply appreciates and will truly miss the employees who have worked every day, sometimes outside in the harshest of weather conditions. These employees represent the backbone and the energy of the Russo’s environment, and their efforts will never be forgotten. We cannot overstate Tony’s dedication to the world of fruits, vegetables, and flowers. We also cannot overstate his dedication to Russo’s wonderful employees, customers, growers, and suppliers. And we cannot thank Tony enough for what he has brought to so many people’s lives.
Thank you, Russo’s

Meet Amy Mah Sangiolo: Newton Candidate for Mayor
I was part of a Zoom Meet and Greet and clipped Amy Mah Sangiolo by topic.
Newton Public School Reopening
Did you know that Newton Public High Schools have slipped by 20 spots in the rankings since Ruthanne Fuller became mayor? We are no longer in the Top 20 ranking.
Newton School District: #58 out of 403 school districts in Massachusetts (Top 20%)
U.S. News and World Report rank Newton South High School #34 and Newton North High School #37 out of all high schools in Massachusetts.
Even if your kids attend private school, the desirability of Newton Public Schools affects property value. With the median home price in Newton at $1.4 million, prospective buyers can choose a less expensive city with better schools.
