The Manager of Parent Education is responsible for the ongoing development, implementation, and evaluation of PPLM’s parent education program, Let’s Be Honest/Seamos Honestos, which is designed to help parents and other caregivers create an environment of trust and comfort in talking with their children about sex and sexuality. They collaborate with education staff to deliver Get Real Parent Resources as a companion program to Get Real for middle and high school youth, and oversee the delivery of workshops on general sexual health information. They are responsible for creating and teaching curriculum, for developing and maintaining community partnerships through marketing and outreach efforts and for collaborating with PPLM’s academic partners to implement an ongoing program evaluation process. They will also be responsible for incorporating PPLM’s strategic plan goals into program planning and implementation to ensure that PPLM maintains a highly effective parent education program.
