    PRU BOO Trick-or-Treat for Charity

    The Shops at Prudential Center’s 20th Annual PRU BOO Trick-or-Treat for Charity

    The annual event has raised over $40,000 for local charities

    The Shops at Prudential Center, Boston, will host its annual PRU BOO indoor trick-or-treating and family fun event on Sunday, October 26. The event will benefit Catching Joy, a non-profit organization that promotes volunteerism beginning with young children and their families.

    This year marks the 20th anniversary the event.  Since the first PRU BOO in 1994, The Shops at Prudential Center has distributed 300,000 pieces of candy to over 20,000 kids. The event has also raised over $40,000 for local charities.

    PRU BOO Trick-or-Treat for Charity

    The Shops at Prudential Center will open its doors at 11am to hundreds of families from Greater Boston to enjoy “store-to-store” trick-or-treating, pop-up magic shows, a performance by Stacey Peasley as well as a variety of family-friendly activities provided by some of Boston top attractions, including New England Aquarium, Boston Duck Tours, Blue Man Group, Museum of Science, The Freedom Trail Foundation, The Mary Baker Eddy Library, and more!

    Schedule of Events

    11:00am – 1:00pm:              Trick-or-treat and children’s activities

    1:45pm:                                Performance by Stacey Peasley (Food Court)

    With a $4 donation to Catching Joy, participants receive a trick-or-treat bag that provides access to trick-or-treating at more than 50 stores and restaurants at Prudential Center, along with other fun family-friendly activities. Presenting sponsor, NECCO, The New England Confectionery Company, will provide all candy.

    Trick-or-treat bags can be purchased at The Shops at Prudential Center’s Customer Service Desk starting October 1, and at check-in stations located in the Food Court and Center Court starting at 9am the day of the event.

    Parking for the day is $16. Parking passes can be picked up at PRU BOO check-in stations.

    Free Family Fun begins the new season on September 20, from 10 AM – 12 Noon. 

    These drop-in art and theatre workshops offer the opportunity for families to experiment with paint, paper and collage to create works of art together.

    Children can also explore the creative world of theatre games with the talented staff of Watertown Children’s Theatre. Different projects and games will be offered each time.

    Teen Glass Blowing Classes

    Diablo Glass School is very excited to announce  the beginning of the fall teen programs. Classes run until December!

    Afterschool classes on Tuesday or Wednesday from 4:30 to 6:30pm (glassblowing and flameworking)
    Homeschool students classes on Thursday from 11am to 1pm (glassblowing and flameworking)
    weekend classes on Saturday from 10am to noon (glassblowing)

    Students can join the group any time. Different skill levels will work separately with different teachers.
